Born in Tokyo in 1983, Having spent his early childhood in Indonesia, he developed an interest in decorations while visiting ruins with his parents. As he deepened his interest in the concepts of "play" and "decoration" within Japanese culture, he began to focus on lacquer, a material that developed only in limited areas of Japan and Asia. He creates works and conducts research broadly from the perspectives of "painting," "decorating," and "reading" in relation to lacquer decoration. He explores what role the primitive act of decoration plays in the modern world through various artifacts.
